The Client

Rebellious Unicorns (RU) is a Queer-owned events production company based in Kelowna, BC. They are dedicated to leading the movement for positive social change by creating and hosting signature events, experiences, and programming that bring people together all over the Okanagan. They also manage one of the largest online stores for 2SLGTBQIA+ merchandise in all of Canada. 

The Challenge

RU was taking care of their marketing in-house, but thanks to the booming success of their events, their scope of operations grew to the point that they needed additional, specialized marketing support. They were searching for a partner they could trust to manage their digital marketing and promote their events. 

RU wanted their marketing to achieve the following goals:

With RU’s approval, EVOLVE designed new social media marketing assets for RU’s various brands that align more closely with RU’s values of creative self-expression, joy, inclusivity, and Queer pride.

Simply updating your social media collateral is often not enough to encourage sales growth and better brand awareness in the market, especially on a tight deadline. RU’s entire business model is governed by event timelines, so they wanted to see results sooner rather than later.

To meet this challenge, EVOLVE set RU up with a Google Ads campaign to promote upcoming events and boosted select social media posts—usually for big events—so that the posts can achieve greater online circulation among RU’s target audience.
